Filling stitches: cm of thread per square cm of solid cover with all six strands (halve the strands and the figure doubles). - Open decorative lines on crazy quilting, borders, seaweed and fern sprays, smocking.
- How it works
- Open loops taken alternately to the left and right of a centre line, each held by the next loop, so the line branches like a feather. Keeping the angle and spacing constant is what makes it look even.
