Filling stitches: cm of thread per square cm of solid cover with all six strands (halve the strands and the figure doubles). - The same jobs as stem stitch where a twist in the opposite direction is wanted, for example the two sides of a symmetrical motif.
- How it works
- Stem stitch worked with the thread kept above the needle instead of below it. The rope twists the other way; mixing the two on one line changes the look mid-line, so choose one and keep to it.
